Bank of Valletta has announced three new appointments to its senior management team – Simon Azzopardi as Chief Wealth Management Officer, Peter Halsor as Chief Marketing and Customer Intelligence Officer and Vanessa Borg as Chief People and Change Officer.
Mr Azzopardi has years of experience in the area of investment services, and was responsible for setting up and running the Private Banking Division of BOV.
Throughout his career at the bank, he has occupied various executive positions prior to his latest role as Chief Wealth Management Officer, including as Executive Head Risk Management and Executive Head International Corporate Centre.
Prior to joining Bank of Valletta, Mr Halsor held the position of Chief Customer Experience Officer at Riyad Bank and also led transformation initiatives at Barclaycard and LloydsTSB.
As Chief Marketing and Customer Intelligence Officer, Mr Halsor bring 20 years’ experience leading marketing teams in designing and implementing digital products, services and campaigns.
Dr Borg, who has been appointed Chief People and Change Officer, occupied the position of Director, Strategy Advisory at KPMG before joining BOV.
Over the years, Dr Borg held a number of senior positions, including Chief Executive Officer with Argus Insurance and Executive Director at Consultancy and Training Acumen Centre.
The Bank has received regulatory approval for the appointment of Mr Azzopardi, but awaits regulatory approval for the appointments of Mr Halsor and Dr Borg.
