The Inspire Foundation has hosted a large-scale CSR activity by an international pharmaceutical company.
The French multi-national company HRA Pharma chose to financially support the foundation and its mission for inclusion for their annual corporate social responsibility conference last month, titled ‘Spark The Momentum 2021’.
A team of 180 individuals were flown to Malta in November for the event, which consisted of a conference at the Westin Dragonara, and culminated in the employees building two outdoor multi-sensory play areas for Inspire clients. The two multi-sensory areas are situated in Bulebel and Marsascala, and will complement the programmes and further support the development of skills, through a variety of fun and engaging activities, for those who use the Inspire Foundation’s services. The construction project was funded by HRA Pharma.
Reacting to the CSR initiative, Inspire Foundation CEO Antonello Gauci thanked HRA Pharma and its employees for their generous help with the building of the two multisensory spaces, and the dedication of the teams involved.
“Supporting persons with physical or developmental disabilities to achieve their potential and ultimately improve their quality of life and inclusion in society, is extremely rewarding, especially when together we are able to celebrate each individuals’ achievements. This is made possible through the ongoing support of those dedicated to making our mission possible. We are extremely grateful to HRA Pharma and its employees for their incredible generosity and the impact that these sensory spaces will continue to have on our service users,” Antonello Gauci said.
Mr Gauci also spoke about Inspire Foundation’s operation during HRA Pharma’s conference together with May Caruana, Inspire’s Head of Programmes & Operations, and Kristina Briffa, Team Leader of the LinC Day School programme.
HRA Pharma was founded in 1996 with the aim to provide therapeutic solutions to medical needs that had not been addressed previously by large pharmaceutical groups. As pioneers in women’s healthcare, HRA Pharma has become the European leader in emergency hormonal contraception.
The foundation carries out its functions after consultation with San Anton School and San Andrea School.
He also presented a presentation about food security during the Global Government Summit.
