As the end of September draws nearer and nearer, Global Mindset Development (GMD) Founder Viviana Premazzi spoke to MaltaCEOs.mt about her biggest challenges this past year and her forecast for the next.
Dr Premazzi starts off by suggesting that, in recent times, one’s success has become more fragile than ever – and it’s all because of the world’s interdependence.
Malta might be an island, geographically isolated from any other continent, but gone are the days when Business Leaders can operate in a bubble, with little to no concern for what’s going on around the globe.
“First with COVID-19, now with the war in Ukraine – such circumstances show us that everything is interrelated, and we have to be more and more conscious and accountable of our interdependence,” Dr Premazzi tells MaltaCEOs.mt.
These thoughts are bound to be on Dr Premazzi’s mind, especially when considering her business’ recent growth. Having said that, there’s one thing that helps make such processes more smooth sailing for the GMD Founder, and that’s having a good support system.
“This year, with my business taking off globally, it has been even more important for me to be surrounded by the right people, people able to share my vision and commitment, and who can support me,” Dr Premazzi reveals.
The GMD Founder is, therefore, speaking from experience when she urges fellow Business Leaders who want to be successful, to surround themselves with “people who want to dream with [them].”
Business aside, having a solid support system is also vital on an emotional level, after all, Business Leaders often have to face “the sad reality of feeling isolated and lonely.”
Having founded her organisation on the basis of effective cross-cultural communication, Dr Premazzi feels that such skills are how “we can keep growing and expanding in other parts of the world.”
Indeed, this is her hope moving into 2023 – “that despite the crisis, it will be a year for growth, personally, and as a business.”
She also hopes that in the coming year more and more people will continue to develop a global mindset, “a mindset more open and welcoming of the different perspectives, as I believe diversity will definitely help us to find more effective solutions to our local and global issues.”
