Andrea Trapani, Founder and CEO at Executive Aviation Malta, has described his move to launch the VIP aircraft handling company 15 years ago as the “best decision” he has ever made.

Executive Aviation is a business aviation services and logistics company that specialises in private and business jet ground handling. Based at Malta International Airport (MIA), specifically located on Apron 3, it offers ground handling, into-plane fuelling, flight and customs support, gourmet catering, and concierge services.

On Tuesday (today), the company celebrated the 15th anniversary since its inception.

In a post to mark the occasion, Mr Trapani, who has worked in the airline and aviation industry since 1994, looked back on Executive Aviation’s 15-year journey.

“15 years literally flew by since I gave birth to this company. An amazing journey indeed and by far, the best decision I ever made in my life,” he remarked.

However, he acknowledged that his “perseverance, energy, willingness, and perhaps craziness alone” would not have got the company to this point.

“Massive thanks to my colleagues, the management, and all the team who work so hard on a daily basis to serve our growing list of loyal customers who trust us because we deliver and meet or exceed expectations,” he continued.

Mr Trapani said that the team makes him proud and that they are the reason that he will “keep pushing for more in the coming years.”

Mr Trapani’s aviation industry career started off at Malta’s former flag carrier Air Malta, where he occupied a number of positions such as Sales Officer, and Sales and Station Manager at Tripoli International Airport in Libya. Following his 11 years at Air Malta, he was involved in a number of companies and handled various projects, such as the initial setting up of safe and secure aircraft operations within the Safi Aviation Park.
