The Convenience Shop is looking to make its first foray abroad in the coming years, CEO Martin Agius has said in a press statement.

This comes as the leading retail group is celebrating the 15th anniversary since its launch, having initially started out with an outlet in Żebbug back in 2009. Fast forward to today, and The Convenience Shop’s yellow and green signage is prevalent across all corners of Malta, with over 80 outlets in the country.

Mr Agius pinpointed the opening of additional franchised stores and the inauguration of The Convenience Shop’s head office and flagship store in Qormi as key upcoming milestones for the group.

Additionally, Mr Agius shared that the group aims to make its first venture abroad, seeking international placement by 2025.

He explained that this move would enable The Convenience Shop to “expand its reach and tap into new markets.”

With all its success, has The Convenience Shop outgrown the local market?
