With just days to go until a grueling triathlon in Marina di Ragusa this Sunday, Denise Cortis, Head of Human Resources at Arkadia Marketing Ltd, has the firm backing of her company, which strives to promote a healthy work-life balance at the workplace.
Apart from her extensive experience in HR, Ms Cortis is also a trail runner and triathlete, who likes “to use sports psychology to tackle work related problems which help myself and others achieve their goals.”
Sharing its support, the company , which operates Arkadia Commercial Centre in Gozo as we well as various retail brands, said Ms Cortis “HR Manager by office hours, triathlete by a good part of what remains, will be taking part in the TRInacria triathlon” in Marina di Ragusa this Sunday.
“Not that she needs much support, after all it is only a 1.9Km swim followed by a 90Km cycle (made easier with a 1,000 metre elevation) and wrapped up by a 21Km run, however, it still is good to cheer her on. Three cheers for Denise Cortis.”
