Tonio Axisa

Last weekend, Youth Coach and Executive Director at Ronald McDonald House Charities Tonio Axisa took part in The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride – a global motorcycle event raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health programs on behalf of the Movember Foundation.

Sharing his thoughts about the initiative following his fourth time taking part, he thanked his supporters for donating, helping him to raise over €1,000 to the cause.

Ahead of the event, he shared, “my personal journey working with vulnerable groups, including the support to NGOs who put mental health at their priority continues to instil in me the importance of being an ambassador to support DGR.”

With the ride having taken place yesterday, Mr Axisa shares, “for some it was maybe just a Sunday morning ride, however for me, it was a RIDE WITH PURPOSE, and that’s how such rides should be,” he says of the event, which is centred around classic and vintage styled motorcycles.

“I thank each and every person who supported me with their donations, thanks for believing in this cause,” he continues, going on to thank photographer David Caruana for capturing some great moments during the ride. “Together we continue to break these barriers that exist in men.”
