“Toly’s Concept Design team presents over 100 new packaging innovations every year to their customers across all the categories – cardboard, makeup, skincare, fragrance and new decorations. Here the team brainstorm, sketch, render and create 3d models, all as part of their creative process,” said Minister for Research, Innovation and Co-ordination of Post COVID-19 Strategy Owen Bonnici during a visit to the manufacturing company’s premises.
Having been supplying luxury packaging to the beauty industry for over 50 years, Toly continues to be at the forefront of manufacturing through innovation and collaborates annually with the University of Malta and MCAST on students’ projects whilst displaying their work.
Boasting a global clientele, the company boasts a purposely built innovation centre – a state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of Toly’s corporate offices – which is used to showcase trends, their full range of standard packaging across all categories, their technologies, and their own innovation.
“This dedicated centre is the result of many years of research focused on new packaging and new applicators for the perfume and cosmetic sector. Clients have access to a multitude of models on display, try them, test them, and compare them,” Toly CEO Andy Gatesy said during the visit, highlighting the fact that Toly provides eco-friendly packaging.
The company’s advanced 3D printing and prototyping facilities give a wide range of capabilities to help accelerate their development all the way from concept to pilot tooling, while in-house production studio Toly Studio is utilised for the production of videos to support innovations and applicators.
