Tonio Mifsud Bonnici has been appointed Head of Human Resources (HR) at Farsons Group, the company announced on Thursday (today).

In doing so, he takes over from Joseph Camilleri, who had been named in the role last April.

His new role comes after an impressive 35-year tenure within Farsons Group, having initially worked in operations to HR. The company stated that this transition reflects his “unwavering commitment and continuous growth.”

He had first started out as a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician, before he then pursued and obtained a master’s degree in HR Management and Performance Development, paving the way for his current role in HR.

Mr Mifsud Bonnici’s daily responsibilities involve managing HR strategy meetings, supporting his team, and process management in implementing HR initiatives across Farsons Group. “His collaborative approach and focus on fostering employee engagement and well-being are fundamental to our workplace culture,” Farsons Group added.

Over the years, Mr Mifsud Bonnici, together with his predecessors, has successfully negotiated various collective agreements, leading to excellent relations with unions and employees, and has also served as a mentor to numerous team members.

Established since 1928, Farsons Group is engaged in the brewing, production and sale and distribution of beers and beverages, the importation, wholesale and retail of food products and beverages, the operation of franchised food retailing establishments, and the management and operation of a newly-regenerated brewery.
