Tradeling CEO Marius Ciavola last month was recognised as one of global media company Forbes’s “Top 10 Business Persons to Watch in the Middle East in 2023”.
Forbes, the world-famous American business magazine, is particularly known for its lists and rankings of entrepreneurs and companies. This specific list features some of the most “impressive and trailblazing” figures in the Middle East’s business world across various industries.
Commenting on the prestigious achievement, Mr Ciavola remarked that it “wouldn’t have been possible without the talented and inspiring team” he leads at Tradeling. He added that they “believe” in the company’s “purpose” and his “vision of building the largest B2B marketplace in the region and beyond”.
“We are on a clear path to becoming one of the region’s greatest and fastest-growing E-commerce platforms that will be shaping the future of trade. This is just the beginning,” he concluded.
The publication describes Mr Ciavola as a “seasoned leader” that has a “knack for guiding, motivating, and directing individuals and groups to work synergistically towards a common goal”. It adds that through his application of “tenacity, resilience, care, self-belief, and teamwork”, Tradeling’s team has been given “purpose, clarity, and inspiration” which has resulted in its rapid expansion across the region.
“His consistent track record of positioning organisations for success, spurring significant growth, opening new revenue streams, and building high-performing teams that demonstrate profound dedication to excellence has placed him at the forefront of e-commerce development in the UAE and across the region,” it concluded.
Mr Ciavola was appointed CEO at Tradeling in 2021, having previously served as Vice President Operations, and was instrumental in setting up the Dubai-based B2B e-marketplace.
Prior to that, he served as Head of Logistics at Amazon Middle East and its Souq.com brand.
Locally, Mr Ciavola was previously the Owner of Vogue Printers Ltd.
