Malta-based Universal Air has launched a new route connecting Malta to Tripoli, Libya in a bid to expand its international route network and strengthen business ties between the two countries.
Starting from €210 one-way, the new route will operate every Wednesday and Saturday and is aimed at business travelers commuting between the two vibrant Mediterranean centers.
CEO Simon Cook noted that the new route isn’t just about bridging cities. “It’s also about creating opportunities. We’re providing a crucial link for businesses that will help drive commercial growth,” he said.
Universal Air, is a new airline that launched earlier this year and is headquartered in Malta. Last month, the airline noted that its strategy focuses on routes that aren’t mainstream, namely like the one in Pecs, Hungary, where bigger operators cannot land due to a shorter runway.
