Yentl Spiteri

Yentl Spiteri, Founder of Switzerland-based creative agency von Peach, will be flying her fully-remote team down to Malta to attend a fundraising gala dinner in aid of The Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.

This event will be celebrating the launch of ‘Stories of Home’ – a 132-page art book that follows the story of 67-year-old ovarian cancer patient Janette Marsh.

‘Stories of Home’ is the product of a collaboration between curator Andrew Borg Wirth and photographer Marija Grech. The publication presents readers with an uplifting, honest, and raw narrative that seeks to give a face to a condition which is so often hidden or invisible.

“At von Peach, our interest in telling stories and celebrating the human experience has been at the heart of our business. When Andrew Borg Wirth approached me about Stories of Home, I immediately knew this was something we wanted to be a part of,” Ms Spiteri noted.

“When meeting with Janette Marsh herself, my business partner Emma and I immediately knew this project was different, and that we were to be part of something with purpose,” she continued.

‘Stories of Home’ has been widely supported by leading businesswoman and Advise Ltd CEO Helga Ellul, who has raised funds for its printing, and People & Skin Owner Joanna Delia, who is organising all the events around the book for fundraising.

“Ms Marsh has had a long career in business, working as a Change Manager with international companies, until she decided to move to Malta with her husband Rob a few years back. Now, she is working on an art project with Andrew and Marija that has followed her since her diagnosis with terminal ovarian cancer,” Ms Spiteri said.

“She wanted to forge out of this period of her life something visual, raw, and vulnerable – and they have made sure to do just that,” the von Peach Founder continued.

Collectively, Ms Ellul and Dr Delia have been fundraising through Malta’s corporate community for months and have now organised a series of events around the book. Their latest initiative is none other than the aforementioned gala dinner, happening later this month.

“We will be flying our team from across four European countries down to Malta to join the gala dinner being organised on 9th April at Casino Maltese. We know our business is only successful if the people we work with do so with purpose – so we felt it was important to do this,” Ms Spiteri noted.

“Considering the monthly spend on so many other parts of our business, we feel like a table at this gala is a small way to be part of a big project. One which Janette – through Andrew and Marija, Helga and Joanna – dreamt up in circumstances which would bring most people to recoil. We like to think good business is built upon the most incredible parts of the human experience – this feels like it,” she concluded.
