FreeHour Malta, the country’s biggest student platform, has received the ‘Best App’ title at this year’s rendition of the Tech.mt Malta eBusiness Awards.
Founder and CEO Zach Ciappara took to social media to celebrate this achievement.
“We did! Massive accomplishment for us today as FreeHour 2.0 wins us the ‘Best App’ of 2021 category at the Malta eBusiness Awards by Tech.mt,” Mr Ciappara wrote.
“The entire team worked super hard over the summer to develop the biggest leap in FreeHour since the start of the platform, and we’re thrilled to have achieved this special award,” he continued.
As a start-up founded back in 2017, FreeHour is now experiencing accelerated growth as it employs a team of 17 people whilst operating multiple large campaigns and partnerships amongst the local youth community.
Currently, over 90% of students in Malta make use of the FreeHour app. The company also has a significant online following made up of more than 40,000 youths aged between 13 and 27.
“Expect more of this, as we continue to improve our focus on creating a community around the FreeHour Malta app and our content channels,” the CEO concluded.
