Nicky Gouder

Nicky Gouder, Founding Partner at local boutique advisory firm Seed, took to social media to shed some light on the lesser-known realities faced by entrepreneurs.

“We seem to portray entrepreneurship as the be-all and end-all, and it seems that one needs to be an entrepreneur to be ‘successful’,” Mr Gouder wrote.

“We do not speak enough about the struggles, difficulties, and failures which entrepreneurs go through. We only seem to see stories of huge success, and never quite realise that those ‘successes’ are a result of many failures,” he added.

Mr Gouder founded Seed in 2020 with Co-Founding Partner JP Fabri – however, that was far from his only encounter with an entrepreneurial experience.

In October 2020, months after Seed’s launch, Mr Gouder founded 40under40 – a community of business leaders with passion, ambition, and an innate belief in Malta’s potential.

“One doesn’t need to be an entrepreneur to make an impact. Any person, in whatever position, can make a positive impact on him / herself and on the people and community around them,” the Seed Partner noted.

“Whilst people choose the entrepreneurship route, it is not the be-all and end-all and we should discuss more openly the failures and struggles which come with such a role,” he concluded.

Currently, Mr Gouder also serves as a Member of the Investment Migration Council – a worldwide association for investor immigration and citizenship-by-investment, bringing together the leading stakeholders in the field and giving the industry a voice.

Throughout this career, Mr Gouder has been at the helm of several companies as Director. These include AQR Fiduciaries Limited, Yachting Events Limited, and RG Capital Advisors.
