In the business world, as with any other, the journey towards self-betterment, regardless of your goals, is never an easy one.

As many leading business minds will attest, the rise to the top of their game is achieved on the basis of hard work first and foremost, yet, as several of our leadership coaches and business experts have highlighted, it is also down to having the correct attitude and mindset.

George Tabone, Head of Service Delivery at recruitment agency Konnekt, puts it succinctly in a recent LinkedIn post: “Even for the most gifted individuals, the process of becoming a leader is a gruelling, albeit rewarding journey of continuous learning and self-development.”

And while you may be making progress on the career ladder you’ve set out for yourself; he highlights the importance of not letting it get to your head. “We should never stop learning and accepting 360 feedback openly. Always be humble,” he writes.

A powerful message to leaders – and aspiring leaders – in any field.
