The legal and business community has been left shocked and saddened this week at the sudden passing of Keith Micallef, Chief Financial Officer at Ganado Advocates.
A well-liked and respected personality within the industry, many took to social media to pay tribute to Mr Micallef, with his cousin, Richard Micallef, joining others in describing him as “a true gentleman, just like his father.”
The firm, which is counted among Malta’s foremost law practices, employs over 100 professionals who have been left reeling at the news.
“Farewell gentle colleague and friend. We will miss your unassuming smile,” writes Conrad Portanier, Partner at Ganado Advocates.
In a statement paying tribute to Mr Micallef, Ganado Advocates described the CFO as “a great colleague to all and a good friend to many” who was “genuine, kind, humble and always had such positive words for all.”
“Keith has been a loyal and integral member of the firm for the past 28 years. He led our finance operations with passion, integrity and energy. He gave commitment and inspiration to his staff and to others who had the pleasure to work with him. He contributed a lot to the development and successes of the firm,” the company continued.
“Keith will be missed by many and will never be forgotten by those who were fortunate enough to know him. The firm did not only lose a senior member of its management team, but also a true gentleman and friend.”
