APS Bank’s Head of Culture Rachael Blackburn has said the bank is honoured to be supporting ‘The Ordinary Lives Of Women’, an exhibition at Spazju Kreattiv in Valletta.
The exhibition, which runs till 13th March, presents works from ten female artists who have approached the multi-faceted lives of those identified and identifying as women around the world.
The works on display, curated by Elise Billiard Pisani and Margerita Pulè, recognise the value of everyday women and their contribution to humanity, and acknowledge the many hours of work done by women around the world, spent in undervalued tasks such as cleaning, caring and maintenance.
“The bank is truly honoured to be supporting this exhibition that champions women. By helping bring this event to life we are again showing our commitment to the arts and culture, especially during such uncertain and challenging times we continue to face today,” Ms Blackburn said.
Ms Blackburn joined APS as a Change Management Specialist in 2019, before becoming Head of Culture in 2021.
She was previously the Director of the Esplora Interactive Science Centre, and also spent seven years at the Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST).
