Air Malta has started to reap the benefits of revamping its digital presence, according to the national airline’s Chief Technology Officer Wayne Grixti.
Mr Grixti made the comments as Air Malta completed the first phase of its implementation of Triplake, an innovative digital commerce platform
The platform was created by Branchspace, a provider of disruptive online retailing solutions and consultancy to travel suppliers, including airlines.
Describing the successful launch of the new booking and customer experience platform as a key milestone, Mr Grixti said:
“Throughout this year we have implemented various initiatives and projects to revamp our digital ecosystem by leveraging technology to deliver an outstanding user experience when browsing and booking through our website in a digitally secure environment. We are glad that we started reaping the benefits of these changes and we look forward to continuing to work with Branchspace to seek more innovative solutions that will help us in our journey to personalise our products and services for our customers.”

Prior to joining Air Malta, Mr Grixti was the Chief Technology Officer at the Malta Digital Innovation Authority, spearheading the Technology Department and leading the world’s first National Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence certification programmes.
