Richard Bilocca

WasteServ Malta CEO Richard Bilocca took to social media to thank the company workers that braved yesterday’s thunderstorms.

“I have no words to thank all our workers who fought the elements of nature all day to restore safe operations across our various facilities which were heavily impacted by the unprecedented downpour,” Mr Bilocca wrote.

“We are so proud of you,” he continued.

Yesterday’s thunderstorms were particularly heavy due to the formation of a Mesoscale Convective System (MCS) right over the islands.

This gave way to an average of 79.2mm of rain falling over Malta and Gozo in a 24-hour period.

Mr Bilocca was appointed CEO at WasteServ Malta back in March 2020. Prior to this appointment, he held C-level roles at The Water Services Corporation and The Energy & Water Agency.
